Ordered 40 for 40 cash requirement at the bar. Order was 45 minutes late and incomplete. The single bartender was overwhelmed. Poor management decision creating many unhappy people waiting for orders. Could have told people there was time to order drinks. Nice idea, poorly executed.
Went there last night for nye. I get that it’s a busy night but they were extremely ill prepared. Was it their first nye? The night started by showing up for our 7:30 reservation to a very angry seeming crowd at the bar area and hostess podium. As it turned out this crowd was a mix of people who had been waiting for a long time for either their take out order (for some over an hour) or their table. It took the hostess about 15 minutes to even look at us and acknowledge that we were there to take our name that we were there. She said that they were just setting our table, okay cool. 30 minutes later I asked her if they were still setting our table and I was told the table just didn’t work out for us. What? Finally after pressure and lots of waiting the hostess said she was going to attempt a miracle and disappeared. 10 minutes later she had a table for us. We were informed the kitchen was very backed up when we sat. When our waitress came she was very nice and you could tell she was not having a great night but trying her best. We we’re given appetizers on the house so we ordered some and some drinks. The appetizers came out within 10-15 min not so bad but the drinks took easily 30 minutes. After that we were informed that they were out of several thing on the menu. A couple of which we had wanted. Disappointing. We waited for our meals for an hour and were given another round of drinks on the house. Once the food came we were all disappointed. Cold mashed potatoes, bland Bolognese, subpar Marsala. We were asked if our food was okay and we simply said fine. Because we were hungry and just wanted to get out of there after over 2 hours of just waiting around. It afterall wasn’t at all the waitresses fault. In the end they really dropped the ball on a night I was so looking forward to. I had heard great things about Rovezzi’s. We ended getting some free food and drinks out of it but I will not be returning or recommending.
We had our rehearsal dinner there in November of '16 and it was a wonderful time. The staff there are very accommodating, friendly, the food is delicious and not overpriced. We just went for our 1st anniversary and when I made the reservation I must have mentioned that we were there for our anniversary and had the rehearsal dinner there a year back, because the staff wrote out a personal anniversary card for us with all their signatures. Once again the meal was delicious!
Dinner last night with our kids... very disappointed with the service and the food. Not sure what happened but not the same restaurant and ambience we knew from two years ago. Waitress could not check on us, food was bland... very disappointed. Won’t be coming back. Lots of other good choices around the area. Don’t waste your money or time going there.
Food was delicious, had the special as an appetizer roast duck filled Arancini and as an entre had the lobster meat Gnocchi. This meal paired very well with a bottle of Barbaresco. Our server Jamie was excellent and the bus boy was on point! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the restaurant was dark, very dark. Couldn't read the menu without a flashlight and I would have liked to see my meals. Other than that it was worth the trip out there.
